About Modern Wall Lights
We build architectural wall fixtures with ambient halo backlighting. Sturdy wood craftsmanship, concealed framing, and zero harsh glare.
How It Started
We started building custom wall fixtures for friends and local spaces in 2024. People were blown away by how a floating contoured cutout with hidden rear LEDs completely transformed a room without harsh direct bulbs.
From there, we took on our first restaurant project — a continuous undulating wall wave and bar canopy in St. Louis — and interest quickly grew through word-of-mouth.
Every single piece is cut, sanded, painted, wired, and tested in St. Louis. We use furniture-grade plywood or architectural metals, mounted on concealed 2x4 framing anchored to wall studs.

No cheap hollow plastics. We shape furniture-grade plywood and metals, sealed and painted in whatever finish you choose.
Concealed 2x4 Stud Mounting
Mounted cleanly onto wall studs for a rigid floating offset without sagging or front screws.
St. Louis Installation Available
We ship nationwide, or our local St. Louis crew will come out and install it on your wall for $200.
